Bringing code to real life: the unique problems of IoT

Your company is NOT ready to tackle one of the hottest fields in tech!
You're losing opportunities and money because the now-prevalent Internet of Things is only for people who love new challenges.
- Security: a major thing about IoT, because it takes only one device to open an entire home to cyber (and real life!) threats. Security development and testing must be both well-conducted, cutting-edge, and first-rate.
- Usability: users will need to operate their stuff even if there's no access to a stable internet connection, even if the device is busy with the internet side of things. No one wants to get locked in their car because of a software update!
- Creativity: this one is getting rare… but the work with IoT demands real-life ingenuity, as artificial intelligence alone cannot parse and solve most of the real-world scenarios, the concrete problems that people have in their homes and routines. Those who think like a bot will not be enough as well.
- Performance: at the same time, working with the Internet of Things means dealing with a great volume of data and a multitude of paths. This can be way too much for us humans! Thoughtful use of machine learning (including artificial intelligence) and no-code automated testing can accelerate and improve development and testing cycles.
- Location: where are your devs and testers? The remote, computer-only work will not suffice in this case, as they need to test the internet on the thing. OK, smaller devices can be sent by mail, but wouldn't that be a security breach?
Let's keep thinking about it. Next time we're going to work together to break down some of those security challenges.
